A Street Cat Named Bob: How One Man and His Cat Found Hope on the Streets by James Bowen

Incredibly warm book about second chances, hope and true friendship. After reading it you would feel irresistible desire to caress a fabulous ginger cat or to listen street musicians.

This is a story of a man who lost everything. And had no desire to truly change something. About his strangely amazing meeting with the street cat Bob, who entirely
changed his life, taught him love and care. When James first met Bob he decided that the cat belonged to someone and tried to find his keeper. After all his attempts failed he decided to keep Bob with him because he needed medical treatment. James gave his last money, literally, to save Bob. And had no regret. But after recovery he gave Bob a chance to leave, to make his own choice. And Bob decided to stay.

After a while James and Bob began to work together. And people really liked Bob. They liked his so much that James started to earn more money than he had before. Only because of Bob James found an official job and makes a great step in his life – gives up drugs for ever. It is hardly believable that cat really can change man’s life so much but that really how it was.

This book will make you think more about all the possibilities life gives you and you give up. About human’s pain which we don’t see while passing by. And about love which we are afraid to take, but if we do we will have everything. I recommend it to each and every one of you. If you lost your hope, try to find your place in this life or simply love cats – this book is for you.
